Today was simply a tremendous day! While Jodie is still recovering from her foot surgery (and doing better day by day - just a little antsy and irritable), Connor and I went to a Labor Day Picnic for other adoption families in our immediate area. These families are actually a "Play Group" that we will join immediately and jump in head first! I have attached a couple of pictures from the day.
It was simply incredible how God has placed all these people in our lives! Connor loved playing with all the children and I enjoyed connecting with parents who had "Been There, Done That!" with the adoption process. There were several parents who had tremendous wisdom in the process and some that had just gotten back. We are just so excited to have met these people who have already gone through what we are about to enter. And, we really look forward to connecting more with these families as we parent Shen!!
